ElevenLabs users can now publish AI-generated music directly to SoundCloud
ElevenLabs' ElevenMusic can now publish AI-generated tracks straight to SoundCloud, with an AI label attached and three free months of ElevenMusic Pro for Artist Pro subscribers.

One-click publishing from prompt to platform
ElevenLabs users can now push AI-generated songs straight to SoundCloud without ever touching a file. The two companies announced the integration on Thursday, according to TechCrunch, and The Verge reports that tracks published through the connection will carry a label marking their AI origins.
Until now, the workflow required generating a song in ElevenLabs' ElevenMusic platform, exporting and downloading the audio, and uploading it to SoundCloud manually. The new integration collapses that into a direct publish.
What Artist Pro subscribers get
Alongside the integration, SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers are receiving three months of ElevenMusic Pro at no cost. According to TechCrunch, that tier permits generating up to 1,000 songs per month, splitting songs into stem files 500 times, and using five custom styles or vocals each month.
The deal is one-directional publishing rather than a full creative loop. The Verge notes that SoundCloud's earlier integration with Moises goes deeper: that partnership lets artists pull tracks out of SoundCloud for stem separation and remixing, then republish them back to the platform. The two outlets date the Moises deal slightly differently, with The Verge placing it earlier this year and TechCrunch describing it as last month.
ElevenLabs' growing music business
ElevenLabs, best known for its voice and audio AI, released its first music-generation model in 2025, launched a consumer app for prompt-based song creation in April 2026, and followed a month later with a new model capable of switching genres mid-track and handling more complex vocals. The company says users have created more than 25 million tracks with its models so far, according to TechCrunch.
SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton positioned the platform as the first to carry ElevenMusic creations beyond the company's own ecosystem, framing the deal in a statement as a way for artists to experiment, share work, and build an audience.
A more permissive platform than its rivals
SoundCloud has been unusually receptive to generative music compared with other streaming services. The Verge points out that the platform encourages users subject to EU rules to label AI-generated or manipulated tracks and has rules against impersonation, but it has avoided publicizing mass removals or demonetization of spammy AI uploads.
Beyond ElevenLabs and Moises, TechCrunch reports that SoundCloud also has integrations with Google Flow Music and the remix platform Hook.
The contrast with the wider market is sharp. Deezer is introducing a toggle that lets listeners filter out AI music entirely, Bandcamp has imposed a blanket ban on AI-generated tracks, and Spotify and YouTube have taken more cautious approaches to labeling, according to TechCrunch. Spotify, notably, already partners with ElevenLabs for AI narration of audiobooks and has signed label deals for AI remixing products, but has not announced a generative music model partner of its own.
Why it matters
Distribution has long been the friction point between AI music generation and an actual audience. By wiring ElevenMusic directly into a major streaming platform, ElevenLabs shortens the path from prompt to publish to a single step, and the volume implied by 25 million already-generated tracks suggests a large pipeline ready to flow through it.
The labeling requirement matters too: listeners on SoundCloud will at least be able to see which tracks came from a model, something Spotify and YouTube have been slower to standardize.
Most telling is the split emerging across the industry. SoundCloud is embracing generative music and bundling free subscriptions to encourage it, while Bandcamp bans it outright and Deezer builds filters against it. A year ago the open question was whether platforms would accept AI music at all; now the question is which distribution strategy wins.
