SpaceX Super Intelligence has merged X Premium, Grok and Cursor into a single plan with five tiers from free to $200 per month, as it pushes for subscribers in a competitive AI market.

SpaceX Super Intelligence bundles Grok, Cursor and X Premium into one subscription

Three products, one plan

SpaceX Super Intelligence, the company now operating the services formerly sold as separate subscriptions, has combined X Premium, Grok and Cursor into a single paid plan, according to TechCrunch. The unified offering is called The X Subscription, and the stated goal is straightforward: a combined package could pull in more subscribers than any individual product in a paid AI market where the company competes with OpenAI, Anthropic and other rivals.

The bundle covers a wide span of use cases. Subscribers get Grok for AI-powered chat, with support for voice, images, video and the API, plus Grok's agentic AI bot. On the development side, Cursor, the AI coding tool, is included. The plan also carries the paid features of X Premium, such as the blue verified checkmark, creator tools and reduced advertising.

Five tiers, from free to $200 per month

TechCrunch reports that The X Subscription comes in five levels: a free plan, Plus at $8 per month, Premium at $30 per month, Super at $100 per month and Ultra at $200 per month. AI usage caps increase as users move up the tiers.

The free tier is deliberately narrow, offering only limited chat and agent usage, while access to the latest Grok models requires Premium or higher. That gating pushes serious users toward at least the $30 tier, with the Super and Ultra levels reserved for heavy usage of the same underlying features.

A soft landing for existing subscribers

For current X Premium+ subscribers, the company says the comparable plan in the new structure costs the same or less than what they pay today, TechCrunch notes. That pricing choice appears designed to migrate legacy customers rather than run two parallel subscription systems indefinitely.

Existing users can switch to the bundle from their subscription settings on X, or simply keep their current plan. The upgrade option is rolling out gradually, so interested customers will need to watch their billing settings for the offer to appear.

Why it matters

Bundling is a familiar playbook from telecom and consumer software, and it has now arrived in AI in a big way. OpenAI and Anthropic largely sell their assistants as standalone subscriptions. SpaceXSI is instead betting that a social platform's paid features, a general-purpose chatbot and a professional coding tool reinforce one another, and that a single recurring bill is easier to justify at renewal time than three separate purchasing decisions.

The tier structure also reflects where AI pricing is heading more broadly: usage-capped ladders rather than flat access. As inference costs vary sharply between casual chat and heavy coding or agent workloads, expect usage caps tied to price levels to become the norm across the industry, with vendors competing on how generous each tier is.

There is also a developer angle worth watching. Folding a coding tool like Cursor into a bundle that starts at $8 per month resets expectations for what an AI subscription should include, and puts pressure on rivals that still sell coding assistants as separate premium products.

For consumers, the immediate effect is simpler accounting and a possible price cut if they already paid for X Premium+. The longer-term question is whether consolidation helps or hurts: bundles are convenient, but they can also lock users into a single vendor's ecosystem across chat, social media and development tools at once. The gradual rollout means it will take some time before adoption numbers show whether the bet is paying off.
