Xiaomi has listed its first network-attached storage device, the Xiaomi Smart Storage, at a starting price of 2,699 RMB. According to a post on dev.to, the product page went live on August 21 and reservations are now open.
The device is a four-bay desktop unit that accepts drives of up to 24TB per bay. It runs on an Intel N100 processor with 6GB of RAM, and its rear panel carries dual 2.5G Ethernet ports alongside USB 3.0, HDMI and power. Software features include Docker support and automatic photo backup from phones, a combination the dev.to author judges competitive with Synology and QNAP hardware at the same price point.
An industrial design reading
